On Meeting of Chargé d'Affaires of the Russian Federation at the United Nations Dmitry Polyanskiy and Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres

On 1 August a meeting was held between Chargé d'Affairs of the Russian Federation at the United Nations D.Polyanskiy and Secretary-General of the United Nations A.Guterres. During the meeting the Russian side pointed out with reference to the corresponding commentary issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia (http://russiaun.ru/en/news/syria010819) that the decision by the Secretary-General to establish an "internal United Nations Headquarters Board of Inquiry to investigate a series of incidents that have occurred in northwest Syria since the signing of the Memorandum on Stabilization of the Situation in the Idlib De-escalation Area between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Turkey on 17 September 2018” was unfounded from the point of view of the UN Charter.
