Q: As a member of the “Quartet” [of international mediators for the Middle East], was Russia consulted by the Americans or Israelis or any other side regarding the plan that allegedly would be announced tomorrow?
A: Let me answer briefly. We were not consulted. We do not know what that plan consists of. We have been constantly saying that if a plan ignores the internationally recognized legal basis for the settlement, we are not sure if it can be successful.
