Russian candidate elected to the advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions
On 23 May 2022 the United Nations General Assembly appointed Mr. Evgeny Kalugin, senior counsellor, head of section on administrative and budgetary questions, Russian Mission to the UN, as an ACABQ member.
The General Assembly decided that Mr. Evgeny Kalugin fills a vacancy in the ACABQ after election took place on 12 May 2022 in the General Assembly Fifth Committee. Mr. Evgeny Kalugin was supported by 105 Member States while the other candidate, Mr. Ihor Humennyi of Ukraine, drew 68 votes.
