Virtual side-event "Low Emissions Solutions in the Energy and Beyond: Partnering with Businesses for a Sustainable Recovery" on the margins of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development

Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, together with State Atomic Energy Corporation "Rosatom" and Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, organize a virtual side-event "Low Emissions Solutions in the Energy and Beyond: Partnering with Businesses for a Sustainable Recovery" on July 14, 2021, from 7.30 to 9.00 am (New York) on the margins of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development under auspices of ECOSOC.

During the event, participants will consider national experience of using low-emissions solutions to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, share best practices for strengthening cooperation with other countries in the area, assess contribution of low-emissions projects to sustainable development and employment growth, and discuss ways to build up partnerships between public and private sector in low-emissions tech for sustainable recovery.

The event will be attended by H.E.Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, Mr. Mikhail Chudakov, Deputy Director General of IAEA, Mr. Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director of "Rosatom",  H.E. Barbara Woodward, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Mission of UK to the UN, H.E. Dai Bing, Ambassador and DPR of Mission of China to the UN,  H.E. Kimura Tetsuya, Ambassador in Mission of Japan to the UN, as well as by leading international clean energy experts.
