One of the directions of the Permanent Mission's work is relations with the media, community organizations, students and school groups.
The Permanent Mission holds in tthe UN headquarters a variety of information and cultural functions dedicated to important contemporary or historical events, including exhibitions, panel discussions, round tables, conferences, screenings of films and documentaries, and concerts. One of these initiatives that is constantly gaining popularity, is the Day of the Russian Language in the UN, which is celebrated annually on June 6.
The Permanent Representation holds introductory meetings and briefings on various aspects of Russian policy in the context of the United Nations,for students of high schools and colleges, works closely with the public, including veterans and organizations.
