Statement by Ambassador Vassily A. Nebenzia, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Russian scientists who changed the world”
I am not a scientist. They are people with a special brain, indeed. In Russia and across the world we have seen many great scientists and still continue to see. They are special community; they communicate among each other. There are no borders for science. Science is universal, in that sense it represents the United Nations. We are very glad we could provide you with a glimpse into the Russian scientific world which is very rich and it has always been rich. These people on these stands are great names of earlier days, but the scientific tradition in Russia continues even today.
Thank you very much for joining us at this exhibition and we hope that science will be one of the tools contributing to a better world to which we all are striving. Thank you.
